Cardiology Resident DVM, DACVIM (Cardiology)

Dr. Carlie Day was born and raised in Los Angeles and received her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Dr. Day earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Western University of Health Sciences. After veterinary school, she completed a rotating internship in medicine and surgery, followed by a one-year cardiology specialty internship and three-year cardiology residency at VCA West Los Angeles animal hospital. She received board certification at the end of her residency and accepted a position at VCA CARE. Dr. Day enjoys all aspects of cardiology but has a special interest in managing cardiac emergencies and chronic congestive heart failure. Dr. Day's goal as a cardiologist is to provide exceptional medical care and ensuring that owners feel included, educated, and supported in the process.

Outside of work, Dr. Day loves spending time with her family and friends. She's excited to continue to explore the beaches and hiking of Santa Barbara with her fiancé, Chris, and her Australian Shepherd, Casey.
