Dr. Thorne comes to us from Canada. She left the great white North for sunnier skies to attend Veterinary school at Ross University and completed her clinical year at Cornell University, during which time she fell in love with upstate New York. After graduating in 2019 she spent 3 years in general practice and she realized her passion in the veterinary field lies in emergency medicine and surgery and is very excited to be joining the VCA Colonial team as an emergency veterinarian and help people and their pets when they need it most.  

When Dr. Thorne isn't in the clinic she enjoys reading, CrossFit and hiking all the beautiful trails of New York with her husband and 3 giant dogs.
