Sarah comes to VCA Colonial with 19 years' experience in veterinary medicine, including nursing care and clinical/interventional cardiology. Her professional passions include the pursuit of excellence in customer service, technical writing, skills mentorship, problem solving, and building a workplace culture that welcomes, energizes, and lifts everyone in the pet healthcare team.

Originally from the Poconos in Pennsylvania, where she spent winters as a ski instructor and summers as an environmental camp counselor, Sarah now lives in Ithaca with her partner (another Sarah!) and two kitties (Sylvan & Pandora). She loves bright colors, live music, fresh air, good books, trivia (especially local history), and cutthroat tabletop gaming.

Sarah has always loved animals, but as a born helper, she says "my true joy is anticipating the needs and struggles of those on my team; I constantly look for ways to improve the work environment to support the success of those around me."
