Lauren Altieri has been working in veterinary medicine since 2012. She moved to Alaska in 2018 from Reno, Nevada, where she had been working in specialty and emergency medicine. Her passion in veterinary medicine is anesthesia and surgery, although Lauren loves that we also get the opportunity to help clients with their young animals through their senior years. She currently serves as the Vice President of the Alaska Veterinary Technician Association and has been on the board since 2019. Lauren's other HUGE passion is working with sled dogs and she has helped on the Iditarod and other local races since 2018. She and her fiancé had their first baby on Halloween of last year and are enjoying every moment of being parents. When not working, Lauren loves going hiking, fishing and backpacking with her dogs.
