Trudy went to Texas A&M University and graduated in 2001 with a BS in Zoology. She went to the Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology and graduated in 2003. Trudy has been in the field since 2001 and started working in general practice veterinary medicine. She started working in dentistry with Dr. Eisner in 2004 but was also still doing GP until 2010. Trudy joined the emergency team in 2010 along with other specialty medicine departments. Trudy also works with the Peter Emily International Dental Foundation since 2010 doing exotic dentistry at zoos and sanctuaries, which includes doing dental work on otters, tigers, and chimpanzees.

“All I've ever wanted to do is work with animals, I've always been drawn to them and have a connection with them far more than with people! I wanted to be a veterinarian my whole life and did my undergrad in pursuit of that. But after graduating in 2001 I decided to work at a vet clinic before applying to vet school, where I was hired as a technician. I hadn't known technicians existed until that point and I fell in love with the nursing side of things instead pursued tech school. Then I fell in love with dentistry!”
