Dr. Jacqueline Murphy joined VCA Highlands Ranch in 2023 as a medical oncologist. She is a Colorado native and is excited to help care for pets with cancer in the South metro Denver area!
Dr. Murphy completed her veterinary degree at Colorado State University in 2017. She then pursued a one-year small animal rotating internship at Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital followed by a one-year Oncology Internship at North Carolina State University. Dr. Murphy then completed a four-year combined Medical Oncology residency and master's program at the University of Florida.
Dr. Murphy is passionate about helping families understand their treatment options for their pets with cancer. She is also a certified veterinary medical acupuncturist and enjoys incorporating this with her oncology patients.
In her free time, Dr. Murphy enjoys spending time with her family and enjoying the Colorado outdoors. She also does various dog sports (agility, frisbee, and trick training) with her three dogs: Cassi, Lilo, and Lani.
