Danae Wilson

Danae Wilson, originally from Prescott, Arizona, holds a master's degree in psychology. As a manager, she is passionate about creating a fun and meaningful work environment where people feel valued and heard. In 2024, Danae relocated to California from Alaska to join our team at VCA Loomis Basin as hospital administrator. In Alaska, she managed VCA Bering Sea Animal Hospital in Anchorage. Danae also brings experience from human healthcare, having managed a community health center prior to joining the veterinary profession. Danae is a Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM), having earned this credential through the Veterinary Hospital Managers Association (VHMA). The CVPM is recognized as the highest level of certification, excellence, and professional achievement for veterinary practice managers.

Outside of work, Danae enjoys playing drums and guitar, staying active with tennis and hockey, and watching sports. Her personal and professional lives are united by a deep love for animals, which she channels by volunteering at the Placer SPCA. At home, she and her wife share their lives with three beloved dogs: Rosie, a Lab mix; Tonka, a heeler mix; and Phoebe, a deaf pittie. Committed to fostering inclusivity in her field, Danae is also an active member of the Pride Veterinary Medical Community.

Administration

The hospital Administration team consists of management personnel who oversee all staff members, hospital activities and the facilities. Together, they keep the hospital running smoothly, ensuring quality patient care and excellent client service. From the moment you check in, our administrative staff is here to deliver the best possible experience to you and your pet before, during and after your visit.
