Dr. Feldman was born and raised in Los Angeles's Westside and attended University High School. He received his bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from the University of California at Davis in 1986, and his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree, also from UC Davis in 1990. He received his post-graduate training in private practice at the California Animal Hospital in Los Angeles, at Cornell University in New York, and at UC Davis.
From 1993 to 2001 Dr. Feldman was a partner at the California Animal Hospital's Department of Internal Medicine and Cardiology. In June, 2001 Dr. Feldman founded Los Angeles Veterinary Specialists in West Hollywood, a full-service, 24 hour Internal Medicine and Cardiology referral practice catering to dogs and cats with difficult and/or complex illnesses.
Dr. Feldman has an active interest in gastroenterology, liver diseases, cardiopulmonary disorders, and diseases of the immune system. Dr. Feldman is widely published in veterinary scientific journals and other publications, and has actively participated in veterinary drug trials and industrial consulting. Dr. Feldman has been instrumental in the training of numerous interns and residents in Internal Medicine and in setting forth the minimum requirements for veterinary internship programs in the state of California.
Dr. Feldman is an active member of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine, American Veterinary Medical Association, California Veterinary Medical Association, and the Southern California Veterinary Medical Association.
