Dr. Boyd was born in Alaska and grew up up across the country while her father was in the Coast Guard. She completed her undergraduate education at William and Mary in 2006 before graduating from the veterinary school at Virginia Tech in 2010. Following graduation, she completed a one year long rotating small animal internship with Carolina Veterinary Specialists in Greensboro, NC. Her areas of interest include internal medicine and oncology. Dr. Boyd currently resides in Chesapeake with her husband, son, and two dogs, a very silly boxer and much less silly Lab mix. She also has two cats who like to steal the dogs' beds. Outside of the hospital she enjoys gardening, traveling, and reading.
