Shelly began her career at VCA Companion Care 14 years ago as a client service representative (CSR) and was later trained on the job as a veterinary assistant. After earning her associate's degree in veterinary technology, she obtained her license as a certified veterinary technician (CVT). Shelly worked as a CVT for many years before being promoted to technician supervisor. In 2021, she was promoted to hospital manager while continuing to maintain her CVT license. Overall, she has 20 years of experience in veterinary medicine.
Shelly enjoys educating clients about their pets, learning new things in the field, and supporting new veterinary assistants and CVTs as they begin their careers.
Outside of work, she enjoys camping, fishing, attending concerts, and playing Dungeons & Dragons.
In the future, Shelly hopes to earn her Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM) credential.
