Dr. Jordan Prater (Formerly Branch) was born and raised in Sammamish, WA. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in zoology from Washington State University where she was a member of the women's soccer team for four years - Go Cougs! After hanging up her cleats, she decided to move across the pond to attend veterinary school at the University of Glasgow in Scotland. Dr. Prater has interests in preventative medicine, soft tissue surgery and providing affordable and accessible veterinary care around the globe. She has done charity clinic work in South Africa, Malawi and rural Spain, and is passionate about providing veterinary care to all creatures great and small. After living abroad for five years Dr. Prater decided to move back home to Western Washington and join VCA Covington Animal Hospital in 2023.
In her spare time, Dr. Prater enjoys trail running, reading, trying new restaurants and spending time with her husband, two cats; Pig and Pansy, and her dog Schatzi.
