Josh K. (He/Him)

Hospital Manager

Fear Free Certified

Josh joined the VCA Covington Animal Hospital team in March of 2024. He came to us with over 17 years of experience in the veterinary field. He started in the veterinary industry as a weekend receptionist, moved to Lead Receptionist/Veterinary Assistant, and then Office Manager. Josh first got his start in human medicine as a CNA working with adults with disabilities and then later became a Licensed Massage Therapist.

PNW born and raised, Josh's passion for animals started early in life. At the young age of eight, Josh was enrolled in an Equestrian Riding School. He also had a passion for teaching. As a member of a 4-H club, Josh quickly became a teen leader and then a 4-H Leader. Developing his teaching and leadership skills, Josh also volunteered to tutor 2nd-grade kids during this time.
Josh has a special interest in small animal medicine (cats and dogs), especially Afghan Hounds (all sighthounds) and exotic cats, reproductive animal medicine, and large animal (equine).

In his spare time, you might see Josh at a local AKC Dog Show, where he is exhibiting his Afghan Hounds, or assisting other members of the community with their dogs. He also likes spending his time gardening, with an interest in growing a bee garden.
