Dr. Bergquist graduated from the University of California, Irvine with a bachelor's degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. She then moved to Melbourne, Australia to attend the University of Melbourne School of Veterinary Medicine and got her DVM in 2017. After graduation, she moved back to her hometown and completed a rotating internship at VCA Animal Specialty Group in Los Angeles, gaining knowledge and experience in emergency medicine, internal medicine and neurology.

Having always loved the Pacific Northwest, Dr. Bergquist decided to move to the area in 2019 and start her work in general practice. She loves seeing the strong bond between pets and their humans and she feels privileged to be a part of preserving that bond. Having pets of her own, she understands how stressful it is when our pets are sick or hurt. She strives to provide the best and most up-to-date care to all her patients.

Outside of work, Dr. Bergquist enjoys spending time with her family–her wife and three dogs–Lucy and Twyla (beagles) and Tilly (golden retriever). She loves to be outside working in the garden with her pups. Dr. Bergquist's other hobbies include aerial yoga, traveling, hiking, snorkeling and scuba diving.
