Dr. Holley Crooks grew up in Phoenix, AZ but spent her summers visiting family in Hood River, OR. She knew from an early age that she loved the PNW and wanted to call it home. Dr. Crooks attended Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, AZ where she met her husband. After graduating, she went on to Washington State University in Pullman, WA where she earned her doctor of veterinary medicine degree in 2007. Since then, she has lived and worked in Vancouver, WA. She enjoys being a veterinarian because every day is an opportunity to strengthen the human animal bond. Dr Crooks is especially interested in preventative medicine, puppy and kitten care, and wound care. Chihuahuas and pit bulls are her favorite breeds.
Dr. Crooks is also a hot yoga instructor and teaches classes locally. She has a pack of several dogs and several cats, ruled by a cranky Chihuahua named Fava and a scruffy gray and white tuxedo cat named NinjaMittens. Dr. Holley Crooks has been with VCA EMPAH since August of 2024!
