Erin M.
Licensed Veterinary Technician LVT
Unlike many in the veterinary profession, Erin did not get to grow up with animals. It wasn't until she moved to California after college that she ended up with cats and dogs. She eventually enrolled in a veterinary assistant course hoping to learn more about caring for her pets. After a short externship, she realized how much she loves caring for animals and she set out to keep learning.

Erin joined the VCA family in 2011 as a kennel assistant and became a licensed veterinary technician in 2016. She has worked in emergency and specialty medicine, and has interests in anesthesia, dentistry, and rehabilitation. However, she truly enjoys getting to know owners and caring for their pets throughout their lives. She also has a huge passion for Fear Free vet visits, trying to minimize stress for nervous pets.

Needing a change from crowded California, Erin moved to Alaska in October 2022 and joined the VCA Far County family. She loves being outdoors and spending time with her pets, and is looking forward to exploring everything Alaska has to offer!
