Dr. Rachael Schaaf grew up in West Des Moines, Iowa. She graduated with an Animal Science degree in 2016 and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2020, both from Iowa State University. Dr. Schaaf and her husband share their home with a bearded dragon, a cockatiel, and a standard poodle named Zelda.
