Dr. Andrew McGlinchey is originally from Queens, New York, where he completed an associate degree in veterinary technology and a bachelor's degree in animal science. He attended the Ontario Veterinary College in Guelph, Canada, where he earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. He began his advanced training with a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the Ontario Veterinary College's teaching hospital, and did further training as a specialty intern in small animal internal medicine at the Red Bank Veterinary Hospital in Tinton Falls, New Jersey. He completed his residency in internal medicine at the VCA West Los Angeles Animal Hospital in sunny California. Within the field of small animal internal medicine, Dr. McGlinchey's interests include endocrine diseases, kidney diseases, and gastrointestinal disorders, as well as ultrasound and endoscopic procedures. He enjoys reading, hiking, the beach, musical theater, opera, and relaxing with his family and their cats, Gus and Charlie.
