Dr. Angie Ahlstrom was born and raised in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. Her love for animals started very young, when she watched a caring veterinarian help her childhood dog through a medical scare. At that point, it became her goal to pursue a degree in Veterinary Medicine. She wanted to be the caring veterinarian to help other families, and share her love of all animals with her clients.
Dr. Ahlstrom attended the University of Wisconsin where she obtain her degree in Veterinary Medicine. After a brief stint in West Virginia, she and her husband relocated to Utah where she joined the medical team at VCA Willow Creek Pet Center.
In 2020, Dr. Ahlstrom decided to pursue an interest in integrative veterinary medicine. She attended Chi University in Reddick, Florida to study acupuncture and traditional Chinese veterinary medicine. In 2021, she became certified in veterinary acupuncture. Dr. Ahlstrom is excited to bring these new services to the patients at VCA Willow Creek. She's eager to provide new treatments for her patients, to help support their bodies and maintain their health.
When not working, Dr. Ahlstrom and her husband Ian enjoy hiking and exploring all of Utah's beautiful outdoors. They currently live in Sandy with a small zoo of pets including 2 cats, a dog, a ball python, a blue-tongue skink, a budgerigar, and a scorpion.
