Dr. Kate McNamara has been with VCA since 2008, when she earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Illinois. She joined the VCA Bolingbrook team in 2017, and she continues to enjoy the atmosphere of exceptional quality medicine, experienced support staff, and loyal clientele. Dr. McNamara has a son and a daughter, and they share their home with a black cat named Catty, Tinlee a sweet French bulldog and Phineas, a very affectionate pit bull mix. She earned her master's degree in Public Health (Epidemiology and Biostatistics) from the University of Illinois Chicago in 2012 and a certificate in Veterinary Medical Acupuncture from CuraCore in 2024. She enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine and has a special interest in surgery, dentistry, integrative care and overall challenging cases. She enjoys working with clients to provide progressive, compassionate care for their pets and she prides herself on her effective client communication. Dr. McNamara is also proficient in Spanish and French.
