Linzey Leinart
Staff Veterinarian DVM
Dr. Leinart grew up in sunny Gilbert, Arizona, where it's summer 9 months of the year. She was originally known as "the dog whisperer" by her neighbors when first starting her pet sitting business "Linzey's Helping Hands" at the young age of 8. From there, she developed a desire to connect with people by helping their pets. She graduated as valedictorian from high school and later attained a Bachelor's of Veterinary Science degree and minor in biochemistry from the University of Arizona with honors. Her accomplishments lead her to get accepted to UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine where she emphasized her studies in small animal medicine (dogs and cats) and gained a particular interest in emergency and critical care, ultrasound imaging, and business leadership. Her long-term goal is to eventually pursue an MBA. Her Golden Retriever (pictured), "Moose", has been her steadfast companion since the start of her animal career. And while you may think veterinarians' animals are the most well-behaved animals around, Moose has had his bouts of eating foreign objects and having emergency surgery. By fate, she adopted a cat named "Sushi" during vet school who quickly converted her into a cat-lover. When Dr. Leinart isn't treating her favorite furry patients, you can find her at the gym, leading a volunteer group in Elk Grove, or spending time with family in San Jose.
