Dr. Valerie Bueno is a native of Southern California. She went to UC Riverside on a volleyball scholarship and earned her bachelors degree in biology. She then spent 4 years as a P.E. teacher for elementary and middle school children. After graduation with her DVM degree from Western University of Health Sciences, she completed a one year internship in small animal medicine and surgery at VCA West Los Angeles Animal Hospital. She obtained certification in veterinary medical acupuncture through Colorado State University in 2015.
