Dr. Alyson Hopkins was born and raised in Manhattan Beach, California and discovered her love for veterinary medicine while working at the Berkeley East Bay Humane Society during her senior year at UC Berkeley. Prior to starting veterinary school, she worked as a veterinary technician at VCA Coast Animal Hospital and is so excited to be back working here as a doctor. Dr. Hopkins completed her DVM degree at Kansas State University in 2015 and completed an internship at VCA Valley Animal Hospital in Tucson, Arizona. Dr. Hopkins' veterinary interests include internal medicine and dentistry. When not at the hospital she enjoys relaxing with her family and their two cats, Monster and Lynxy.
