Sam earned her associate's degree in Veterinary Technology and a bachelor's degree in Wildlife Ecology. She has been in the veterinary profession for 12 years, including the past two years at VCA Companion Care and the previous three years at another VCA hospital in Madison. She has experience as a CSR, veterinary assistant, and zookeeping intern.
Sam was drawn to veterinary medicine because of her passion for caring for animals and educating clients about their pets. She enjoys learning about new diseases, medications, and procedures so she can stay up to date on the latest advancements in veterinary medicine.
Outside of work, Sam enjoys spending time outdoors, especially fishing, biking, and hiking. She also loves arts and crafts, baking, and spending time with her two cats, Finnick (12) and Saff (6).
In the future, Sam hopes to expand her surgical knowledge and earn her Veterinary Technician Specialist (VTS) certification.
