Hello, everyone! My name is Ellie and I grew up in the Cedar Rapids area. Growing up, I was always known in my family as the animal whisperer. I wanted to care for any animal that I found in the backyard or take home any animal that needed loving. However, I never saw myself pursuing a career involving veterinary medicine. In fact, ever since I was 10 years old, I thought I wanted to be a teacher. But then, after my junior year of high school I did a full 180. I decided to attend Iowa State University to study Animal Ecology on the Pre-Vet track. While at ISU, I experienced a lot of fun animal related adventures. My favorite experience was traveling with the Vet school to Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands. There, I got to work with exotic animals and helped set up a spay and neuter clinic. As of right now, my future plan is to further my education and attend Vet school.
Over the years I have had many pets. I grew up having a dog and chickens along with guinea pigs. I have also worked as a Kennel Attendant at another veterinary clinic and have been an Animal Caretaker at a Research Laboratory. Right now, I have a little Havanese puppy named Milo, who may be small but he is also mighty!
In my free time, I love to hangout with my family and friends. They mean so much to me and are my biggest supporters. I also love to listen to music, read books, see what shows and movies are out there, and play video games when I have time.
