Veterinarian Specialist - Emergency/Critical Care

Dr. Alex Barnes was born and raised in Scottsdale, Arizona. Growing up the son of a small animal veterinarian, his love for animals was sparked at an early age. He completed his BS in Veterinary Science at the University of Arizona before moving to Fort Collins, Colorado, where he earned his DVM from Colorado State University in 2015. Following that time, he completed an Emergency and Critical Care internship a WVRC in Waukesha, Wisconsin, and an ECC residency at ACCESS in Culver City. His professional interests include sepsis, nephrology, and diagnostic imaging. When he's not in the ICU, Alex spends the vast majority of his time rock climbing. He has rock climbed on multiple continents and has worked at a professional route setter for indoor climbing gyms throughout the country.
