Dr. Alexa Federlin is a Long Island native, growing up in Wantagh, NY. She was a division I cheerleader and completed her bachelor's degree in just three years at Coastal Carolina University in South Carolina. She spent one year studying veterinary technology at Suffolk County Community College before she went on to veterinary school. She moved to the Eastern Caribbean in 2020 to pursue her doctorate degree at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. She completed her clinical year at Tufts University and graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in January of 2024. She completed her small animal rotating internship right here at VREC of Westbury.
Dr. Federlin is a German shepherd lover and has two of her own, Mila and Hogan. In her free time, she enjoys going to Orange Theory, traveling with her pups and spending time with her friends and family.
