Ning Chan

Associate Veterinarian

DVM

Dr. Ning Chan grew up in Brooklyn, New York, and earned her Bachelor of Science in biochemistry from Binghamton University before receiving her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Long Island University College of Veterinary Medicine.

As an associate veterinarian at VREC Westbury, Dr. Chan is dedicated to providing compassionate, high quality care to her patients while continuing to expand her clinical expertise. Inspired by her childhood miniature schnauzers, she developed a lifelong passion for veterinary medicine and animal welfare.

Dr. Chan has special interests in surgery, high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter (HQHVSN) programs, and Trap Neuter Return (TNR) initiatives. Her experience caring for feral cat colonies fostered a lasting commitment to community cat medicine and population management.

Outside of the hospital, Dr. Chan enjoys spending time with her family of rescued pets, including Kiba, a husky mix whose intelligence keeps life interesting; Kitty, who wandered into her home and decided to stay; Rocket, whose feral mother unexpectedly gave birth at Dr. Chan's previous workplace; and Bean, a miniature schnauzer mix and beloved foster fail.
