Dr. Christy Santos is originally from Port Jefferson, New York. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Messiah University in Pennsylvania before receiving her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Santos is thrilled to return to Long Island and join the team at VCA Veterinary Referral & Emergency Center of Westbury as an associate veterinarian. As part of her advanced clinical training, she is completing a rotating internship, gaining experience across a variety of specialty and emergency medicine services while working alongside board certified specialists and experienced emergency clinicians.
Her professional interests include Medical Oncology and Internal Medicine, and she hopes to pursue a residency in one of these specialties in the future.
Outside of work, Dr. Santos enjoys birdwatching, hiking, and spending time with her pet bearded dragon, Buttercup.
