Dr. Bernhardt grew up on Long Island and earned her bachelor's degree in animal science from Cornell University. She then went on to attend veterinary school at the Royal Veterinary College in London, United Kingdom, where she lived for five years and received her BVetMed degree (DVM equivalent). During her time abroad, she had the opportunity to travel and explore various parts of Europe. Throughout her veterinary training, Jenna has been exposed to a wide variety of animals from aquatic mammals like seals and sea lions to exotic mammals, birds, reptiles, horses, farm animals including goats, sheep, and cattle, and of course, dogs and cats.
In addition to her passion for animal care, Jenna enjoys pursuing creative activities. She has photographed numerous events over the years and captured her first wedding in June 2024, a trend in which she hopes can continue. She also plays the violin and tries to practice whenever she can.
