We are so excited to announce that Dr. Dillon has officially joined our team after filling in with us since December 2021. She may be a familiar face to many of you already! Dr. Dillon realized she loves working at VCA 4 Paws and the relationships she developed with patients, owners, and the team which led her to decide to come on officially!
Dr. Dillon is originally from Canada. She began her veterinary career in high school working as a volunteer at an avian specialty practice in Vancouver, BC. She continued her career in the veterinary field graduating from a veterinary technology program in 2008 and then followed her family to New Zealand when they relocated there in 2009. Dr. Dillon decided to further her studies to become a veterinarian and graduated from Massey University in 2015. During vet school, she completed several zoological training programs at a variety of zoos around the world including the San Diego Zoo. Dr. Dillon fell in love with San Diego and moved to the area in 2016. She completed both a 1-year rotating internship and a 3-year avian and exotic animal specialty residency at the Pet Emergency & Specialty Center (PESC) in La Mesa. She also completed her Master's of Veterinary Medicine in 2020. Dr. Dillon continues to provide veterinary services the House Rabbit Society and SoCal Parrot Rescue shelters based in San Diego.
