Dr. Riccio received his DVM degree from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2019 following completion of his bachelor's degree from West Virginia University in 2015. In the pursuit of specializing, he completed a small animal rotating internship with BluePearl in New York City 2019-2020. Ultimately deciding to specialize in anesthesia and analgesia took him back to the Ontario Veterinary College where he completed a residency in anesthesia and analgesia with a combined graduate degree in 2023.

Dr. Riccio has a special interest in critical care anesthesia as well as palliative and chronic pain management in senior patients with advanced disease. In his spare time he likes to spend time with his cat, Beppe, and two dogs, Aidan and Leonard (Lenny).
