Alana Kuzmik
Staff Veterinarian - Oncology

Dr. Alana Kuzmik was born and raised in Los Angeles. She attended Vassar College in New York for undergrad studying art history and she also played on the rugby team. She then moved to Boston to take most of her veterinary prerequisite courses while working at Angell Animal Medical Center as an oncology assistant. Boston is where she met her husband and his cat. Together, they adopted their heart dog, Kielbasa, who has since left a big hole in their hearts with loving memories of rolling in fallen leaves and finishing off containers of yogurt. The whole crew moved west to attend veterinary school at Colorado State University. Dr. Kuzmik completed a rotating internship at Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital in Colorado before returning to the University of Minnesota to finish her medical oncology residency. Alana enjoys spending time with her husband skiing and competing in Olympic-style weightlifting and relaxing with their two cats, Tulip and Threodore. No typo here, Tulip and Threodore are numbers two and three of a group of three failed foster kitties. Not to worry, though, as number one was also adopted out very quickly!
