VCA Bay Area Veterinary Specialists & Emergency Hospital
Dr. Alex Gold is originally from Oakland, CA and is excited to return to the Bay Area and join the BAVS team! Dr. Gold completed her bachelor's degree at Whitman College and received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Colorado State University. She remained at Colorado State University to complete her small animal rotating internship, where she discovered her passion for emergency medicine. For the last several years Dr. Gold has worked as an emergency veterinarian at an ER/specialty practice in Colorado. Dr. Gold's professional interests include toxicities, sepsis and metabolic emergencies. In her free time Dr. Gold enjoys travel, reading, long-distance running, and hiking with her two dogs, Petey and Rubie.
