Dr. Katherine Hansen received her DVM from UC Davis in 2008 and then completed a rotating internship at the University of Pennsylvania. After her internship, she spent two years as a post-doctoral associate in the radiation oncology labs at Duke University. Dr. Hansen trained as a resident in radiation oncology from 2011-2013 at UC Davis and signed on as a faculty member upon completion of her residency, where she served as a clinical professor for nearly a decade.

Dr. Hansen has published numerous articles on advanced radiotherapy, with a specific focus on stereotactic radiation outcomes. She enjoys helping pet owners find the right treatment options that fit with their goals and improve quality of life for their beloved companions. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband (also a veterinarian), daughter and pointer mix, Fintan.
