We have made the difficult decision to permanently close VCA Bay Area Veterinary Specialists. Emergency services will cease on 3/22, and the hospital will close on 3/31. Patient records are being transferred to VCA Encina Veterinary Medical Center in Walnut Creek, where they have specialists in internal medicine, medical oncology, surgery, and dentistry. You can continue to call our main line to request your pet’s medical records, as it will be directed to a dedicated voicemail after our closure.

For any emergencies after 3/22, we encourage you to locate the nearest 24/7 hospital to you. Three nearby options are SAGE Veterinary Centers in Dublin, OakVet Animal Specialty Hospital in Oakland or VCA Encina in Walnut Creek.

Veterinary Specialist - Surgery

DVM, DACVS-SA

Erin Kishi, DVM, DACVS-SA, completed her veterinary degree at UC Davis and completed her surgical residency at the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine becoming a Diplomate of the College of Veterinary Surgeons in 2017. Post-residency, Dr. Kishi stayed on as faculty for a year as a clinical instructor before taking a position at BluePearl in Seattle where she spent 2+ years before joining our team at BAVS in 2019. Dr. Kishi's areas of particular interests include oncologic, endocrine and reconstructive surgeries, as well as fracture repair and orthopedic cases.

Outside of work, Dr. Kishi enjoys skiing, swimming, hiking and kayaking. She likes to spend her free time with her husband, children, and shepherd mix named "Phoenix".
