Dr. Tim Chan is from Toronto, Canada, and earned his veterinary degree from the University of Glasgow in Scotland. He completed a rotating internship at 404 Emergency & Referral Hospital in Newmarket, Ontario, followed by a specialty internship and dermatology residency at Tufts University Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine. His residency program was accredited by both the American and European Colleges of Veterinary Dermatology. Dr. Chan has a special interest in managing chronic allergies, autoimmune skin disease, and complex ear conditions, including the use of video-otoscopy and allergy testing. He has contributed to peer-reviewed publications and has led dermatology lectures and wet labs for veterinary students at Tufts University. Dr. Chan is a board certified veterinary dermatologist, having received his diplomate status by the American College of Veterinary Dermatology in 2025.
Outside of work, Dr. Chan lives in New York City with his two cats, Mila and Butters, and enjoys hiking, gaming, and collecting vintage finds.
