Veterinary Specialist
DVM, DACVIM (Cardiology)
Dr. Stack is originally from Charleston, Illinois, and has moved back and forth between Illinois, Texas, California, Indiana, and Washington, D.C. He attended Texas A&M University, graduating in 2008 with a degree in Biomedical Sciences. He then moved back to Illinois, attending the University of Illinois for veterinary, graduating in 2012. After graduation, he moved on to the veterinary teaching hospital at Purdue University for a rotating internship. From Indiana, he moved to Washington, D.C., and worked as an emergency clinician at a specialty hospital in nearby Gaithersburg, MD. After two years, he took an opportunity to work in a cardiovascular research lab at Stanford University before moving back to Illinois to complete a residency in Cardiology at the University of Illinois, which he completed in 2020. He became a board-certified Veterinary Cardiologist, working as a Cardiologist in Washington, D.C., before returning back to California with his partner Dr. Sunny Kao to join the doctors and staff at VCA Loomis Basin.
Dr. Stack enjoys all the natural beauty and activities that California has to offer, especially the proximity to the ocean, Lake Tahoe, and wine country. He enjoys hiking and taking his canine companion, Ellie, to the beach whenever they get the chance.
