Dr. Herr earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Northeast Missouri State University. She then returned to her native Iowa to attend veterinary school at Iowa State University. Dr. Herr moved to Indiana after graduation.  She has been involved in general practice, shelter medicine and emergency medicine. Dr. Herr enjoys preventative care and internal medicine-especially kitties. 

Dr. Herr and her husband live on a hobby farm and have a small herd of registered Toggenburg goats, along with a dairy cow, chickens, a Haflinger, and a miniature horse. Dr. Herr enjoys her vegetable garden and canning produce.
