Dr. Delerys Rullán Cardec was born and raised in Hatillo, Puerto Rico. She received her undergraduate degree in Animal Science from the University of Puerto Rico at Mayaguez and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in St. Kitts. She completed her clinical year at the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University in Massachusetts. After graduation, Dr. Rullán stayed in Massachusetts, where she worked as a general practitioner for a few years before moving to North Carolina. She has special interests in surgery, dermatology, internal medicine, and senior pet care. Outside of the hospital, she enjoys gardening, baking, and spending time with her family.
