Heidi Schultz
Associate Veterinarian DVM

Dr. Heidi Schultz has always felt a strong connection to all creatures large and small. A lifelong Los Angeles native turned NorCal resident, Dr. Schultz left home after high school to earn her undergraduate degree with honors in Animal Science from UC Davis where she learned to work with livestock and pursued various research projects. She took a year off after graduating to get more hands-on veterinary experience before accepting her spot in the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine.

While in school, Dr. Schultz was the president of Orphan Kitten Project, a vet-student run kitten rescue, and organized community cat care clinics to provide much needed spay and neuter to the cats of the Sacramento area. In addition to her love of cats, she enjoys the company of dogs, pocket pets, and livestock, especially goats! Her professional interests include geriatric care, preventative medicine, internal medicine, and soft-tissue surgery. She is a certified Cat Friendly and Fear Free Veterinarian. Dr. Schultz has also recently finished her acupuncture certification course; she hopes to pursue board certification in Feline Medicine in the future.

In her free time, Dr. Schultz loves taking care of her furry princess cat, Clarice, and her loveable doofus dog, Rango. She enjoys playing board games with friends, improving her Spanish skills, going to live music events, hiking, traveling, fostering kittens, and trying new restaurants and cuisines.
