Pets often come to us because they are experiencing pain, either as a result of trauma or because of a chronic medical condition, like arthritis. We feel strongly that pets need not suffer and will provide the appropriate medical care to make your pet feel more comfortable. Sometimes that can mean medication, but often, joint discomfort and/or muscle pain can be relieved through non-invasive laser therapy.
Laser therapy does not require drugs of any kind and, when administered properly, feels like a warm massage for your pet. Laser therapy is often recommended for pets suffering from injuries like fractures and wounds, as well as chronic conditions like arthritis.
Veterinary laser therapy works by stimulating healthy cells in the area of the injury or chronic condition and either restores or repairs the problem in the case of injuries, or eases pain in the case of arthritis. Results are quick, with pets feeling relief within 24–48 hours.
Some of the disorders that respond to laser therapy include:
Depending on the condition, some of these disorders can be treated with 2–3 treatments. Other chronic conditions such as arthritis are treated on an as needed basis.
