Dr. Rebecca Smith joined the VCA Decatur Animal Hospital team in November 2024. She is originally from Crawfordville, FL. Dr. Smith studied maintenance production management in the United States Air Force, obtained her undergraduate degree from University of South Carolina Aiken, and completed her veterinary degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. Her professional interests include soft tissue surgery, dermatology, and preventive medicine.
Dr. Smith has three dogs; Roxy, Kane, and Draco. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, hiking, reading, spending time with the pups, and watching anything FSU related.
The thing that Dr. Smith likes most about her job is that she has the opportunity to advocate, improve the health and well-being of her patients, and educate owners. She enjoys building bonds with her patients and their families.
