Dr. Lydia Lam grew up in Singapore, and moved to the United States to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She graduated as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of California, Davis in 2011.

Dr. "Lydia" completed a one year internship at the University of Florida, focusing on small animal medicine, surgery, and emergency... with electives in exotic and zoo animal medicine. She worked in Kaneohe, Hawaii and Reno, Nevada before joining our VCA Family team in Pearl City. Her professional interests include exotic pet medicine, husbandry, and surgery - even with the occasional pig and goat patients.

Outside of work, Dr. Lydia enjoys hiking and trail running with her dogs.
