Dr. Romina Hernández Rodríguez

Associate Veterinarian

DVM

Veterinary care with a side of belly rubs and big love for Fort Collins' whiskered and wagging residents.

Dr. Romina Hernández Rodríguez is a veterinarian with over four years of experience in small animal general practice. Her journey began in Mexico City, where she graduated with honors from UNAM, and led her to beautiful Colorado, where she now has the privilege of caring for the beloved pets of so many wonderful families.

In general practice, Dr. Hernández Rodríguez provides preventive medicine, as well as soft tissue and dental surgeries. She has a special passion for ophthalmology, but what truly drives her is building trust with each patient and their family. She is dedicated to educating pet owners about their companions' health, offering empathetic support, and being fully present—especially during challenging moments.

Fluent in both Spanish and English and currently learning Italian, Dr. Hernández Rodríguez connects with a diverse and multicultural community. While her accent may not be purrfect, her patients only bark, meow, or wag their tails in approval.

One of her favorite parts of veterinary medicine is meeting the amazing people and pets of Fort Collins and the surrounding areas. She is continually inspired by the kindness and warmth of the community and feels honored to be a part of it—through every consultation, shared story, and animal she cares for.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Hernández Rodríguez has participated in educational programs, conducted research on ocular health in animals, and contributed to community initiatives promoting responsible pet ownership. For her, veterinary medicine is not just about healing animals—it's also about healing hearts.
