Dr. Acosta brings a unique combination of athletic discipline, emergency medicine experience, and a genuine passion for helping families navigate unexpected medical emergencies. Before veterinary school, she was a Division I softball student-athlete at the University of the Incarnate Word. She went on to spend two years in the Emergency and Critical Care department at Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists in Houston, Texas, where she developed her passion for caring for critically ill patients and supporting their families through some of their most challenging moments.
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Acosta enjoys exploring the outdoors, traveling, and experiencing all that Michigan has to offer. She shares her adventures with her husband, Alonso, and their two dogs, Bella Roux and Rocky.
