Dr. Alicia Kendall joined our team as medical director in April 2026. A native of San Juan, Puerto Rico, she discovered her passion for science and animals early in life. She completed her bachelor's degree in veterinary technology at the Medical Sciences Campus of the University of Puerto Rico before earning her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2007.
She has volunteered and worked in a wide range of veterinary settings, including shelter medicine, exotic animal care, research, and small animal general practice. Her professional interests include small animal medicine, with particular emphasis on internal medicine, ultrasound, and dentistry.
Dr. Kendall remains closely connected to her roots and visits her family in Puerto Rico at least once a year. In her free time, she enjoys reading, outdoor activities such as paddle boarding and gardening. She especially cherishes time spent with her family and her silly dogs, Olive, Potato and Martha.
