Born and raised here in Michigan, Dr. Scherger obtained both her Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Michigan State University. She has lived across the entire southern part of Michigan from St. Joe to Grand Rapids and Lansing to the greater Detroit area. She is thrilled to be back on the west side of the state. While she enjoys all aspects of general practice, Dr. Scherger's areas of interest include surgery, diagnostic imaging, and feline medicine. She also has a background and interest in honey bee medicine and hopes to start her own apiary soon.
Dr. Scherger shares her home with her husband, Jon, their cats, and two Australian Shepherds, Chewie and Woodhouse. Outside of work, she enjoys cycling, hiking and all sorts of seasonal outdoor activities provided here in Michigan. Most importantly, she enjoys spending time with family and friends.
