Brittany Hickman, RVT (she/her), is a registered veterinary technician in the Surgery department at VCA Sacramento Veterinary Referral Center. She completed her veterinary technology training at Carrington College, earning her RVT credential in 2016. With 18 years of experience in the veterinary field, Brittany has worked in both large and small animal medicine, though her greatest passion lies in small animal surgical care.
Brittany's professional interests include surgery, anesthesia, and analgesia. She is deeply committed to providing high-quality patient care and fostering a supportive, collaborative environment for her team. Known for her leadership, reliability, and willingness to share her knowledge, Brittany takes pride in mentoring others and ensuring her team feels confident and valued. Her dedication and positive outlook make her an integral part of the surgical department.
Outside of work, Brittany enjoys reading, hiking, kayaking, and spending time with her family and her three rescue dogs, Maggie, Duke, and Rooster.
