Mary Phariss, RVT (she/her), is a registered veterinary technician in the Neurology Department at VCA Sacramento Veterinary Referral Center. She earned her Associate of Arts degree in Animal Science from Western Career College in 2001 and has been dedicated to the veterinary profession since 1996. Over her career, Mary has gained experience in general practice, emergency medicine, and surgery, and has focused her expertise in neurology since 2005.
Mary is known for her exceptional technical skill, deep compassion for her patients, and unwavering commitment to providing outstanding care to both patients and clients. She is a trusted and collaborative team member who leads by example and takes pride in supporting and mentoring her colleagues. Her professionalism and empathy make her an invaluable presence in a fast-paced clinical environment, where she continually strives to uphold the highest standards of patient care and teamwork.
Outside of work, she enjoys going to the gym, reading, and attending concerts. Her home is full of personality with her beloved pets—Scarlett, the best white Boxer ever; Frank and Zak, her orange cats; Jaxon, who loves to sing; Theo, her unexpected "PetSmart mistake"; and her chickens, Samantha, Edin, and Wednesday.
