Domonique Fortner, RVT, VTS (Anesthesia & Analgesia) (she/her) is a registered veterinary technician in the Anesthesia Department at VCA Sacramento Veterinary Referral Center. She began her career in shelter medicine, where she discovered her passion for anesthesia and pain management. She later worked with the Humane Society of the United States Rural Area Veterinary Services program before joining the anesthesia department at UC Davis in 2019. She earned her Veterinary Technician Specialist certification in Anesthesia and Analgesia in 2024 and is currently pursuing her Certified Veterinary Pain Practitioner certification.
Originally from New Jersey, Domonique's professional interests include anesthesia, analgesia, fear-free techniques, and technician education. Outside of work, she enjoys time with her pets Eli, Ronnie, Mackerel, and Gertie.
